Project - Week 5 (Tables)

Pumpkin Bread3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
2 cups canned pumpkin
  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Mix pumpkin, water, oil and eggs together.
  3. Pour in dry mixture and mix well.
  4. Pour into 2 greased 9x8x3 inch loaf pans.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes.
  6. Cool before removing from pans.

Ginger Snaps3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups shifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1.2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
  1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molasses.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, soda, cloves, ginger and cinnamon. mix in well.
  3. Chill 1 hour.
  4. Roll into 1 inch balls. roll in granulated sugar.
  5. place balls on ungreased cookie sheet. DO NOT FLATTEN.
  6. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before removing.
